Guide Review – Review of Soap & Glory Flake Away Scrub

After trying Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter and falling in love with it, I was eager to try some of the other products too.

Who couldn’t use a great body scrub, right? So I decided to try Soap & Glory Flake Away body polish. I have found many scrubs in the past to be too grainy, too rough, or not rough enough. Just like the story of Goldie Locks, Soap & Glory Flake Away was just right.

When I first opened the retro-chic pink container, I almost wanted to grab a spoon and take a bite. The scrub looks like a luscious natural cane sugar mix, and it had a very light yet clean, slightly fruity smell. As it turns out, Flake Away actually contains sugar and peach seed, so this is why it smelled so yummy. The real test would be trying it out in the shower to see if it did the job or not.

After using the scrub a couple of times for a week, I can’t express enough how much I loved and how much my body thanks me for using it. I have fairly sensitive skin, which sometimes can get irritated or even break out if I apply certain products. The Soap & Glory Flake Away body polish was perfect since it was gentle enough to exfoliate without irritation and wasn’t too moisturizing to clog my pores.

I even tried giving myself a mini-pedi in which I used the scrub on my feet. All I can say is that I had very happy feet when I was done. The bottom line is that Flake Away is a definite must-have for giving you a spa-like exfoliation, and when you couple it with The Righteous Butter your skin won’t know what hit it.

Review of Soap & Glory Glow Getter Sun Powder Spray

Glow Getter gives natural looking bronzed color, even on my pale skin, but I wish it weren’t so messy. It’s still something I will use when I don’t feel like self-tanning but need to darken my pale white skin.

Guide Review – Review of Soap & Glory Glow Getter Sun Powder Spray

Glow Getter is a sun powder spray that gives your skin an airbrushed finish in seconds, with a great Soap & Glory scent to boot.

But even though the color was great, it was easy to use, and it didn’t stink like some self tanners there was still a downside as well.

My advice is to buy Glow Getter because it does work, and it does give your skin a really great naturally bronze glow within minutes. I must suggest that you should apply it in your shower and I would also suggest placing a non-white bath or beach towel on the tub floor. I did not do this and ended up having to scrub my soaker tub afterward. The spray nozzle is a little different than a self-tanning spray, so it came out rather quickly, and I found out why you need to hold it at the recommended 20-25 cm (or further). The first time I tried it I was dotted and then had to rub the color around my legs to blend it well. This wasn’t too bad since you normally have to do that with self-tanner as well. The positive was that it washed from my hands easily with soap and water, so there were no ugly orange stains.

I sprayed my arms, legs stomach, and chest but I have not tried to spray my face yet because I’m afraid that I might end up looking like a freak.

I will admit that it does work well on the rest of the body though. The feel of the spray was nice and velvety, not sticky or too wet. It dried quickly and stayed in place until I washed it off in the shower. I also wore jeans after spraying my legs, and there was no transfer of color, so I was impressed. The bottom line with Soap & Glory’s Glow Getter is that it does give a natural looking bronzed color, even on my pale skin, but I wish it weren’t so messy. It’s still something I will use when I don’t feel like self tanning but need to darken my pale white skin. I don’t think it will be a weekly product for me though.

Guide Review – Review of Soap & Glory The Righteous Butter

After receiving the sample of Soap & Glory’s ‘The Righteous Butter’ in the mail I was eager to see if it would be better than any of the other five-hundred containers of body moisturizer cluttering my bathroom cabinets.

At first, I was somewhat surprised at the scent, since it seemed a little overpowering, but I found it was quite nice once I applied it to my skin. With the first initial application, I was able to tell that the texture of the cream was very moisturizing yet non-greasy. It felt very light when I applied it and rubbed into my skin very easily. So far the body butter was off to a very good start with me.

Since I like to try products more than once in order to get an accurate assessment I used ‘The Righteous Butter’ for an entire week, once a day. I was actually surprised at the end of the week with the results. Even though the product does nothing but moisturize, I was in love. I applied the body butter on the driest areas of my body, including my feet, and was extremely happy with the results after daily use. My body was extremely soft, and I almost had somewhat of a glow to my skin. Even the skin on my feet was soft and beautiful.

So after rigorous testing, in the end, I would say that ‘The Righteous Butter’ is a definite must-have for any bathroom cabinet.

The really refreshing scent of the body butter allows you to wear it alone, so you don’t have to worry about adding perfume throughout the day, yet it is not too overwhelming. The luxurious texture and velvety feel makes you think that you’re using an expensive brand. And with all of the money you save, you can afford to try their body scrub too.
