K-Swiss History:
K-Swiss debuted the first leather tennis shoe at Wimbledon in 1966 with the now legenday, K-Swiss “Classic.” More than 40 years later that shoe is still going strong, gaining new disciples each year. The company has taken their knowledge of tennis and spread it out over many different lines including running, training, nautical, and free-running footwear that stands up to the performance demands of world-class athletes, weekend warriors and trendsetters who are looking for that edge.
VIPs in K-Swiss
K-Swiss, once seen as left for dead as little as five years ago and burst back onto the scene and brought with them a pitch man like none other: Kenny Powers from the HBO show “Eastbound and Down.” The hilarious TV spots have garnered the company a lot of attention lately and have helped them launch some seriously innovative products.
Men’s K-Swiss Shoes:
K-Swiss has done a great job putting together a line that excels in both high quality athletic shoes and also lifestyle, vintage shoes. The K-Swiss Classic has been a shoe that has stood the test of time and has gone in and out of style so many times in the last 25 years that I’ve lost track. In the last few years K-Swiss has come out of the gate with seriously innovative shoes for the athletic man. Their tubes sole technology has allowed them to create a popular running shoe with the K-Swiss Tubes Run 100. The shoe is lightweight, cushioned and the mesh allows it to breathe.
The vintage line is also going great with the latest arrival in the Vintage California, a canvas takeoff of the Classic. Great shoe for jeans and a t-shirt.
