The 2023 jewelry trends brought out all our favorite celebrities in their finest jewels. Some opted to wear minimal fine jewelry, but the stars who made this list brought diamonds, vintage gold, opulent gemstones, and more! Trends included large pinkie rings, elongated dangle earrings, and bare or simple necklines.
What better chance to drool over the fine jewelry of the rich and famous than at a red carpet-event? This year, many celebrities paired earthy leaf motifs with yellow gold and diamonds. Some decked out their designer attire with traditionally styled diamond jewelry, while others layered wide yellow gold bands and bangles for a sleek modern look.

For 2023 there are some great necklace trends to consider, many of which have been around for some time. The good news is if you have already had some necklaces in your wardrobe from last season, they will probably work just as well this year.
When you’re wearing bulky sweaters and turtlenecks, it can be difficult to pull off necklaces. In some seasons, designers forgo necklaces altogether. This season, the longer the necklace, the better.
The black beaded pearls highlight two different trends in one: the reemergence of pearls as a noted fashion accessory and the long, draping statement necklace.
Layered Necklaces
Necklaces worn in many layers look chic and stylish. You can wear one multilayer necklace or a few necklaces in the same color or different colors to brighten up your look.
Layering necklaces is as simple as picking the right two or three necklaces. You want each necklace to enhance your style and aesthetic without overwhelming your decollete.
Make sure the necklaces you layer together are of different lengths. A choker-length necklace will pair nicely with an opera-length necklace.

While we are all for statement jewelry, larger jewelry makes it difficult to wear multiple jewelry pieces at once. Pearls are back! Not only were they seen all over the runway, but designers also added a modern twist to their pearls by turning them into a choker.
Asymmetrical Earrings
We see way more of this trend on the runways, but this seems to be where the trend began. Lost an earring? No problem, just wear one and pretend that’s the look you intended. Wear it alone or match it with another earring.

When someone wears a look that matches my tastes, the $$$ savings are the motivation I need to search the Web for look-alike jewelry.
Cuff Bracelets
Despite excessive heat and sweating, summer is not a time where we should abandon our jewelry. Instead, opt for lighter designs that can add just the right amount of shimmer to your summer skin. Here are some summer jewelry trends that will help you layer jewelry like the bohemian goddess you are.
Our first trend is the classic cuff bracelet. Current styles include arm cuffs that have a gap in the center.
Wear these cuffs higher up on the arm and layer a larger, more simple style around your wrist.
Midi Rings
Midi rings might seem like a newer jewelry trend, but they have been a “thing” since as early as the 1700s. Women (and men) would continue to wear rings they would receive when they were infants. Instead of sizing these rings up, they were worn mid-finger instead.
These rings are very affordable to purchase in precious metals like gold and platinum because they don’t weigh a lot. They are also thin enough that you can’t even tell you’re wearing them, which is perfect for summer.

Ear Cuffs
The cuff earrings from the 1990s are back, and no one’s complaining. My only regret is not hanging onto the plethora of cuffs I had collected in my early teens before my parents let me get all the ear piercings I wanted.
Now that I’m older, I still like “faking” my ear piercings from their number to where they are positioned on my ear. Since I’m no longer in my teens, though, I opt for more adult versions like the Lane Woods cuff shown here in solid gold.
Toe Rings
Summer is the only season when toe rings start trending unless you live in a tropical climate and wear sandals all year round. Toe rings are meant to be fun and shouldn’t be taken too seriously.
Unless you’re ultra-careful, avoid toe rings with stones, prongs, or bulky edges. Don’t be afraid to pair multiple toe rings with mismatched ankle bracelets. Just beware: if you’ll be in the sun a lot, you may end up with some funky-looking tan lines since our feet are exposed to almost as much fun as our shoulders.
Shades of Blue or Pink
Both Pantone colors of the year are perfect shades for summer jewelry. Serenity is a soft blue and Rose Quartz a light rose color. The rose quartz gemstone is a generally inexpensive stone that looks ultra-modern when it is set in rose gold. Serenity can be achieved using stones like aquamarine, blue topaz, or light sapphire.
If you don’t want to splurge on any of those gemstones, there are other ways to add some color to your jewelry.

Pear Shaped Earrings
You don’t need to have access to high-end designers and an endless amount of cash to wear jewelry looks from the rich and famous. Celebrity-inspired jewelry is easy to come by if you know what to look for. I’ve collected my favorite jewelry trends celebrities are wearing this season and found some affordable options in case you see a look you just can’t live without.
These earrings are ideal for a very high-end look for an affordable price. The earrings are not considered costume jewelry but rather lower-end fine jewelry. The pair is cost-effective because the company uses quality copper plated with 18k real gold and uses crystal pearls.
Despite these cost savings, you’ll still get a celebrity-worthy look that will last for decades with the proper care.
Love Knot Necklace
Love knots have been popular since the Victorian era. Since this style of necklace is hefty due to its thick, solid nature, it would cost thousands to have this made in solid gold.
Diamond Ear Climbers
A good pair of earring climbers are not terribly difficult to find, especially since celebrities like Emma Stone and Keira Knightley have made them wildly popular by wearing them on high-profile red carpets. If you wish to purchase diamond earring climbers, you’ll want to be sure there are good reviews indicating that the earrings are snug and secure. Some cheaper versions have a tendency of falling off.

I just love how simple and elegant Charlize Theron’s jewelry taste is. She always seems to make even extravagant diamond jewelry look effortless and wearable.

Slim Gold Choker Necklace
Brittany Snow kept her jewelry look for the MTV Movie Awards very simple, and that’s okay. Yellow gold tones have made their way back into the spotlight, which is for the better, considering some skin tones simply look better in yellow or rose gold as opposed to white gold or platinum.

Solid gold jewelry is not cheap, so if you want to get a trendy look, you have two options: shop for the costume version or shop for the fine version.
